Please join us on April 22 from 4PM to 5PM, for a talk and Q&A session with CRWU Professor Roman Sheremeta, one of the nation’s foremost observers and commentators on the war in Ukraine.

Born in Ukraine, Prof. Sheremeta earned his PhD in Economics from Purdue and is now Associate Professor at CWRU’s Weatherhead School of Management.

His particular field is Economics. He has published in many scholarly journals as well as being featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, NBC and NPR. He was awarded the 2018 Smith Ascending Scholar Prize for being a “budding genius” in social science. He is also the founding rector of American University of Kyiv.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Prof. Sheremeta has worked to rebuild his native country, including delivering humanitarian aid, working with the National Recovery Council, which advises President Zelenskyy, and serving on the boards of Save Ukraine and Ukrainian American House, which concentrates on returning kidnapped Ukrainian children to their families.
